GACO/GCAC Services

The Government Agency Coordination Office (GACO) of California University of Pennsylvania is a Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) that provides advice and asistance to companies interested in pursuing federal, state and local government contracts and subcontracts. The main GACO office is located at California University of Pennsylvania, and operates two satellite offices in Pittsburgh and at Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania. Our program assists businesses in Allegheny, Beaver, Butler, Greene and Washington counties.

GACO/GCAC provides a number of services to help businesses sell their products and/or services to the government. These include:

  • Advising and assisting you in marketing your products or services to the government
  • Identyfing Federal Supply Class (FSC) codes, Product Service Codes (PSCs) and NAICS codes
  • Notifying companies of bid opportunities
  • Advising on bid preparation
  • Assisting with filing applications for placement on state and local bidder's lists
  • Providing specifications and standards data for federal contracts
  • Researching historical cost data to provide past procurement information on products
  • Educating companies on doing business electronically

GACO/GCAC also provides clients with training in government contracting procedures and issues through seminars, workshops and one-on-one counseling. Networking and marketing opportunities are provided to businesses through GACO/GCAC sponsored procurement fairs.
